On Sunday, May 5 (2 PM-4 PM), the Junior Tennis Champions Center will host a free Tennis Festival geared towards children ages 5 to 13. The Festival aims to introduce the sport of tennis, encourage youth to lead an active lifestyle and to test general athletic ability. Coaches will evaluate participants based on athletic ability (not tennis skill). Opportunities will be offered to the most talented and self-motivated youth to receive further instruction in JTCC’s acclaimed programming. Denis Kudla, now ranked No. 142 in the world, was discovered at the Tennis Festival when he was 8 years old.
Each child that attends will receive a certificate to participate in a free junior tennis clinic along with a goody bag.
