Overview

Community Impact is integral to the JTCC mission of “Tennis for Everybody” by providing opportunities to those who might not otherwise be exposed to the sport of tennis. The initiative includes four programs – Neighborhood Youth Outreach, Special Olympics, Wheelchair Tennis, and Tennis Corps.

Community Impact programs promote overall health, wellness and personal growth, emphasizing sportsmanship, competitive spirit, independence, and teamwork, opening doors to future success for youth in underserved communities, Special Olympians, wheelchair tennis players, and military veterans.

The unique JTCC mentorship model requires all High Performance players and coaches commit signifigant time to grassroots coaching and mentoring each year in the Community Impact programs, resulting in strong bonds and friendships between the mentors and participants.
