JTCC’s Director of Competition, Ben Cappuccitti, talks through the JTCC philosophy behind emphasizing match play as part of young players’ development. This video features current JTCC student-athletes Kaylan and Meecah Bigun who are both ranked in the top 25 nationally. Kaylan finished in 3rd place in the Boys’ 12s division at the 2018 Junior Orange Bowl and Meecah was a semifinalist at the 2019 Boys’ 12s Easter Bowl.
Ben discusses the impact of JTCC’s competitive philosophy on our student-athletes through situational point drills and live match play supplemented by in depth feedback. The environment created by this increases mental toughness and on court performance under pressure in match situations.
