Kiwanis Foundation of Prince George’s County Supports Next Generation at JTCC

After organizing a fundraiser this spring to support two JTCC players from Prince George’s County, JTCC members Dick Charlton and Bob Larson of the Kiwanis Foundation of Prince George’s County proudly presented two checks totaling $18,000 to JTCC CEO Ray Benton earlier this month to cover training, coaching, and event fees incurred on behalf of rising junior stars Sydney Wright and Nico Pedraza.

Eleven club members, tennis partners, and friend of Charlton and Larson donated $9,950 during the campaign. That amount was matched by the foundation to benefit the two worthy Prince George’s County aspiring student-athletes.

The Foundation plans to continue to raise funds to support Wright and Pedraza who have previously competed at the national level and whose goal is to be selected for the prestigious full-time JTCC Champs program during their high school years.
