Junior Tennis Champions Center’s Raveena Kingsley is ringing in the New Year in style.
Kingsley captured the first two ITF events of her junior career over the past two weekends in India. With a hard fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win in the final of the ONGC ITF Grade-3 Tournament in Kolkata, the unseeded Kingsley secured her second consecutive ITF title in as many weeks. She captured the ITF Grade 2 title in New Delhi the week before with a 6-4, 6-3 performance in the final.
Considered a top 10 blue chip recruit nationally, 15-year-old Kingsley has been progressing steadily through the junior ranks the last couple of years. After representing JTCC at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day at the U.S. Open in 2012, she had a successful 2013, including a win at the USTA Mid-Atlantic National Open 14-and-under Championships in May and a runner-up finish in the USTA Mid-Atlantic Playoff last June.
