TC COSTELLO
Senior Director of Athlete Development at JTCC
At JTCC, we believe excellence isn’t measured by a single standard. It’s not just about trophies, rankings, or perfect serves. Excellence is deeply personal—as unique as every individual who walks through our doors.
For more than 15 years, JTCC has been the DMV’s only tennis organization where a future college player trains alongside a grandmother learning her first forehand, where a wheelchair athlete perfects their serve next to a five-year-old in pre-rally, where a CEO and a scholarship student become doubles partners. This remarkable simultaneity—all programs, all people, all in one place—creates an environment where excellence takes countless forms.
The “Define Your Excellence” campaign celebrates this fundamental truth: at JTCC, you don’t pursue someone else’s definition of success. You create your own.

Back where it all started 💯
Martin served as JTCC’s director from 2004-08 and is now back as CEO, reconnecting with JTCC star Frances Tiafoe on the same courts as 16 years ago. 💙

More than 150 athletes representing 16 Maryland high school teams competed in the Special Olympics Maryland Unified Tennis High School State Championships this week.
30 JTCC Champs players volunteered, coaching athletes with on-court positioning and assisting them in tracking scores in their matches.
Adding to the experience was the presence of alum Frances Tiafoe, who practiced during the event for spectators and signed autographs.
Unified Tennis features participants with and without intellectual disabilities and includes various levels of tennis experience.
JTCC was proud to host this event for the fifth straight year!
