JTCC Para-Standing athlete Kemit-Amon Lewis represented JTCC on the national stage by competing in the Para-Standing World Championships in Italy June 18-21.
The event features more than 100 athletes from 30+ countries who engage at the highest level of competition across four classifications.
âThe level of innovation, grit, and passion for tennis remained on display throughout the tournament, matched only by humanity. I often reflect about the many parts, carbon fiber, and Velcro that are needed for me to play tennis and there are so many similar stories across our community; yet, we all focus on tennis, not on circumstance,â Lewis said. âMany thanks to Gabby [Hesse] for cheering me on, TC [Costello] and Kenneth [Downing] for preparing me to play my best and to Martin [Blackman] for making it all happen. Iâm very fortunate to call JTCC my home (beyond tennis).â
